ok so i've been thinking of doing this for a while. allot of the vw guys have rusty hoods on their cars. and i'm not sure if it's the same with the A6's but on the allroad the hood is made of aluminum. so my idea is to do a brushed aluminum hood. or maybe a brushed stripe down the middle like what the S4 guys do with the black stripe.

incase you don't know what i'm talking about here are some examples of the rusty hoods.

i would have to find a spare hood to play with in the case that i don't like it. so what do you think yes? no? maybe?

if Rolls Royce does it...i would say its going to look pretty good on an Audi, go for it!

I vote yes, ONLY if the color contrasts against the paint on the rest of the car. Car light red, hood dark red. You get the idea. Brushed alum in silver might produce glare that will annoy people, even though it's not as reflective as chrome. Make sure there's no laws against it too. And brushed mirrors would go with it as well.

Also: Why do VW users have rust hoods. I mean I support modding VW's... but... rust hoods...

so the idea would really be to tape out the center of the hood, sand it to metal and clear coat it after?...i would say it is risky, but it would look good..just take your time and make sure you clear it good, rusty hoods are not an audi thing

i'm not looking to do a rusty hood. the allroads have aluminum hoods, so i was thinking of doing a bruhed aluminum hood. probably just the raised part brushed and the rest of it painted.
