I went on the tire rack website, and it seems there isn't too much to choose from.

I have Blizzak LM22s on my IS300, and they do about as well as a rear wheel drve car can do in the snow.

Some of the reviews rate the donlops as being pretty good.

Any opinions?[cool]

I'm trying to decide the same thing as well, having never driven on snow tires, so I'm interested in hearing other opinions. My main problem last season was ride height, not so much the tires. I did a lot of snow ploughing.

Do you drive through snow and ice, or mainly snow?

Some fellow Audi enthusiasts here in Colorado have recommended Nokian RSi (apparently the Finns know something about driving in snow[cool]). They are studless winter tires.

Michelin Pilot Alpins and Dunlop M3's seem to be mentioned a lot.

Long Island is fairly flat, so my experience is only on flat ground with a rear wheel drive car (also not very high off the ground). The winter tires transformed the car! I couldn't even get up a slight incline such as a parking lot apron with my stock 17" summer tires. I put on the 17" Blizzaks and had a blast driving around in a storm that dropped 12" one night. The Blizzaks aren't really good in the ice.
