How the HELL do you remove the battery??

Do I need to loosen the 2 screws in the first pic on the left? Or the one in the 2nd pic? (I circled the screws I'm talking about in red) And what do I use remove them? Allen wrenches right?

You need the battery to make the car go---you can't remove it.
