stock 2005 front end...

and now, S-Line bumper with an S6 grill (black). I think i may have the only black S6 grill in the country...working at a dealer, i have yet to see an S6 come in with this grill. it's just like a titanium package RS4 grill, but we know that there was never a titanium package for the S6. Guess that's why it took over a month for this grill to come in...

I like it, looks much more aggressive. So how did you stumble across the part number in the first place?

thanks guys...actually still have my front plate. got one of those folding plate frames. in the pic, it's folded and tucked under. it's on the passenger side. and the grill color code was in the U.S. ETKA parts catalog. so, anyone can get it, just gotta wait forever. i already looked into the chrome moldings around my windows to see if they were available in black, but no luck. or at least not in the U.S. catalog. i have a feeling that the grill part number slipped in accidentally.

Nice. The S6 bits make it a lot more aggressive.

Hey, since you're a tech...is there are a place out there with a comprehensive "manual" of some sorts with all the VAGcom codes? So lets say I wanted to enable my 05 to have its fogs on with just the parking lights like the newer models do instead of only with the headlights...etc?
c6bel
04-07-2009, 03:23 PM
i would think ross-tech would have that info. i did it to my 05...changed the coding in "09 central electronics" to RoW (rest of the world).

Did that also enable the amber turn signals? The clear element right next to the backup lights? What else did the ROW change? And I'll check the Ross-Tech site. A 08 A6 that I had as a service loaner did the same thing, and I seriously doubt they had the car set to ROW. I was thinking of doing the ROW for the amber turns, and was worried about what unwanted gremlins it may unleash.

not sure what you're talking about...my turn signals are red l.e.d.'s

Yes sir, they are the brake/turn combo in tht top LED strip. However, the EU, or ROW cars have amber turn signals in that clear strip right beside the back up lights. See...

I was wondering if the change to the ROW setting changed the turn signals to the EU location, or did it remain the brake/turn combo...

wow...never noticed that...good eye. my guess would be having to get the EU tail lamps and then take it from there. i can check wiring diagrams if i get some time at work.

Oh thanks Bel. Already chatted with the guys at OEMpl.us and looks like it's just a matter of swapping out the lights, and it should be a plug-n-play. Well I'll think about this little upgrade, as I did the same thing to my Passat Wagon. But your car looks awesome. You dethroned mine as the nicest C6 on here! LOL!!

The price for these Audi OE EU lights through OEMpl.us is like 150 for avants and 215 for the sedans. Damn cheap!!!
Kemer1

Oops... Just checked their site and it turns out they just raised their prices. 235 for the avants and 300 for the sedans. Should have jumped on them when the prices were better. Oh well. That's what I get for waiting.

We can assist with the lights if there is interest.
Let us know about the LED front lights. We have a customer asking about them, but we don't have a test car to try them on...
