noobie question about offsets

I have the stock wheels so far... car is an 03 TT 225qc.

I have the opportunity to buy one or both of the following wheels.

Mille Miglia HT3, offset of +43

Sport Edition Fox 3, offset of +35

Should I care about this?

If you decide to change your wheels, offset is a very important factor to consider.

What is the stock offset for my car? What will the effects of using wheels with an offset of 35 or 43?

The first one is stock and the other two where options.

ET32 means your current wheels have offset of 32 so if your staying with the stock size tires I would go with the Sport Edition Fox 3 as long as the other dimensions line up.

At 43mm I think you may have issues hitting suspension components as the rim would be moving inward. Offsets less than 32mm would push the rim outward taxing suspension more.
