Pretty disappointed they're not holding an event in Northern California like they normally/used to do. We may head to the SoCal one though.

Bring Nelson (Bong) with you! I sent him the link, told him he could crash at my place, but he never responded.

Went to Q5 Driving Experience today at Fedex Field, in DC. What a blast!

Program was about 3 hours total. Starts off with an Audi film projected on the ceiling of a tent. Then you are paired up, two people per Q5 and hit the streets. First driver gets about 15 minutes of seat time, then you switch and second person drives back.

Next it was driving the new A6 3.0T. They are showcasing the power of the new 3.0T supercharged. You are in a straight acceleration of about 100 yards or so, then jamming on the ABS. What a rocket! Each driver gets 3 runs here.

Then its off to drive Q5 on closed course. Some S curves, straight-aways, etc. Really shows what the Q5 is made of. It had great acceleration and feels very tight and solid. It was very similar to driving my A4 3.0, with sport suspension. Car felt great and handled like a dream.

If you are near one of the host cities, check it out! Definitely worth checking out and really fun way to spend an afternoon with some hands on in great Audi cars.

And... you get an Audi lanyard with a Q5 badge with your name, which can be used to get a free maintenance plan (the old Audi Care plan) if you purchase a new Audi!

They also had TTS, A3, A5, A6, A8L on display that you can sit in and check out. Sweet afternoon!

I see a Q5 in my future. :)

I've attended the FedEx Field Q5 driving experience as well and I'm sold! The car felt incredibly neutral for an SUV. Tossing it around the cone track was a lot of fun.

The new supercharged engine in the A6 3.0T was a monster. I don't know the numbers but it felt like a 5 second 0-60 run. Audi needs to repalce the 3.2's with this engine yesterday!

Lots of fun all around.
