clear bra and ny parking?

i am thinking of getting one installed this weekend on my car, living in NYC parking is pretty bad i do not want to instal bumper guards as they look ugly, so clear bra is the next choise, but will it really help or is clear bra more for protecting from driving and so on.

any comments guys?

will stop small scratches but if the rubbing gets to hard could possibly go throug the clear bra. I can't see it not working and you get more benifits out of it, because when driving you won't get stone chips only problem is no rear bumper coverage. not sure if there are templets out for the rear

a friend found some rubber and cut it out and just hung it on the back bumper with some string... that way no one would poke through with the license plate bolts... try that out.
