So I talked with Ram about the kit and here is the info:
1. Bolt on parts only. There are no internal changes
2. They have just finished the testing in the UK and are now tearing down the engine to check the internals.
3. Expectations are for the first system in the US around Christmas. The first car will be done in NJ for monitoring purposes (AMD USA is HQ'd there).
4. This is dependent on castings being made right now etc.
5. There are no certified dealers on the West Coast currently. There is a Mini certified AMD dealer that they are trying to entice into doing Audi.
6. Expectations is for ~500 HP. The kit is capable of ~650 HP with new heads and internals. The main concern right now is the clutch and transmission as it is possible to get the clutch to slip with just the Stage 3 kit.
7. I have a Tip so I do not have that issue!![:D]
Now if I can just talk him into doing my car first on the West Coast...

$10K sticker.
I figure it is cheaper for me to buy the SC than to buy a 997S. The S4 with an SC will blow the doors off of the 997, but be more of a sleeper. At least that is how I am trying to justify it to myself right now.

And that's great justification. It's still an S4 which is an amazing car, but to be able to beat a porches ass is justification enough.

sleeper? bah slap a full back non-res milltek onto that baby to let that 997 know its fate before it happens :P
B6 S4 is BRZRKR

If it's for real... I'll take one. Hands down. No doubt. If they've done all their homework, I want it. I trust AMD. It's one of the few tuners that I would jump out on a line for. Am I crazy? Are there any dealers on here that can help me out?

They are still in development. They are expecting availability around Christmas which I read as February or March. Ram said they have 25K miles on the test car and are now tearing it down to check the internals.
One thing I forgot to mention is that they are looking at doing a high boost version with new pistons etc.. That mod would put out 650-700 HP. Probably not a daily driver.

Any word on CARB?

CARB will most likely make the SC be illegal in CA. Just get a license out of state and license plate as well then your fine. [:p]

Hmmm 700hp... The last car I drove that had that much power made me almost hurl. I love the old Hemi Cuda's that had blowers put on them.

I'm no gear head, but where in the hell is the SC gonna fit? Its already such a tight space.

^^^^so it won't require a different hood?

Good question.
B6 S4 is BRZRKR

VERY good question. I think that the Stillen 350Zs and G35s look absolutely silly with that hood bulge. I don't see it fitting in with the lines of an S4 any better.

It looks to me like it might. Hopefully they can make it as unobtrusive as possible.

I would tend to agree that a hood 'bulge' will not look good with the otherwise clean/purposefull lines of the B6... but who cares with 500+ hp!?

If you take off all of the plastic crap that is in the engine, there is a little bit of space in there. If I were to get the supercharger, I would still get a new lighter hood that would let the heat disperse better anyways.
