1. what is a good 19 wheel for a silver s4? what color finish?
2. is KWv3 coilover that much better given the price? and for those with just springs, do you worry about the OEM struts breaking early?
3. how to make the yellow on the front headlight housing go away?
4. what is the best choice of exhaust at reasonable price.

thanks.

welcome.

What's your budget? on wheels?

Springs will just wear out your shocks faster and you'll end up paying for installs twice. C/O's is the way to go if u got the cash as it affords height adjustability and some will have dampening as well.

You can "clear corner" mod your lights or go w/ Ecode headlights...they improve on the lighting, gives you a cool "city light" and does away w/ your orange relfector. and you have have a projector style turn signal instead

Milltek and Thermal? i believe are some of the choices you have.

thanks.

i agree with you on the coilovers. i think i should do that. i guess the best one would be KWv3. i am trying to find out if bilstein pss9 has them for audi, i like them for my m3.

as for wheels. i think 3k is my preferred budget. i really like the HRE 448r, but will get up to the 4500 range. saw some iforged and etc, just not sure. also don't know if i should get them in silver, or burshed... may make my silver car look very bright.

i will look for the ecode headlight on the web.

thanks for the help.

Exhaust is a toss up. Thermal is all polished while the Miltek is polished tips only. From there you can look at down pipes. Miltek makes them, but they are pricey. I believe someone else just installed the Labree DP's, but I have not seen a dyno on those. A full Miltek will run you $2K. Labree with Thermal or Miltek will probably save you $500.

As for the KW CO's, they are supposed to be very nice. I am installing the H&R springs later this week. The springs can put additional wear on the shocks if the spring rate is significantly higher than stock. I have not seen the comparison for the S4 springs, but I know that the H&R's for the M3 have a lower spring rate than stock. If you are going to track your car get the CO's, but start with the H Sport Sways. This will make your car more neutral in the corners. After that decide on springs vs. CO's. You do have the ability to drop the car more with the CO's, but many people have found that the 1.2" drop is ideal.

As for wheels it is looks vs. performance. If you just want a 19" wheel there are a lot out there. The Sportec's look really good. If you want performance find some Volk's or HRE's. You will save a lot of weight where it matter most (unsprung). The Volks and HRE's will save you 5 lbs per wheel (about 20%).

Overall decide if you want looks or performance. There is nothing wrong with either route, but there is a significant difference in cost.

no you dont need the ecode but i like to do it right and go OE...but you dont seem to have a problem w/ shelling out the extra $$$ for the right thing so do it [:D]

you can get a better price if you talk to people on this forum, post in the A4 forum, theres a bunch of people that deal HRE wheels and get better prices (in the 700's, 800's)

4000 is a little too much, unless that includes the tires, then maybe.

I sent you a pm re: the Dronell's however I could not send to your email as hotmail stated it did not exist. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

BTW, If you're looking at HRE's you just might be interested in my Dronell M-10's. Just ask one of these guys about them. 19x8.5 Dronell M-10's with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in 245/35/19. Forged and weigh in at 17 lbs a piece.

Would someone be willing to inform our friend trovan about Dronells???

TIA for anyone that might help in describing Dronell M-10's to trovan.
