I bought my 99 a4 1.8t 5 speed in april of 2003. It came with grey sport cloth seats, 15" multispoke (I replaced these within a few weeks with 16" 5 spokes from mkgiy). I had the car tinted and put the 16's on with in a few weeks, heres the oldest picture i have.http://www.audizine.com/gallery/data/2/210left_rear.jpg

About 1 week before waterfest of 2003, with was at the end of july i got 18" Privat Fahrens and eibach springs installed.

A few days after this I bought a fellow member's one peice headlights and installed them two nights before waterfest with the help of Mkgiy, Benefica09, and Flatline.

At Waterfest i had a chip installed and I installed a PES bypass valve later that week. And in september i had a borla exhaust installed, but i don't have any pictures of those mods.

Around april of 2004 I had a m5 lip spoiler and reiger roof rack installed. In the picture you can also see the exhaust.

In June of 04 I purchased a s4 front, BBR sides, and had the rear painted to match the car. When i first got the car back i didn't have the fog lights installed or the RS4 mesh. Also i still had the US one piece headlights modified with HID now though. The rear valace and lower door molding still don't match perfectly, i have to have them re done.

In july I got ecodes and installed the fogs, along with putting the OEM rs4 mesh on the s4 cut outs. I also did the timing belt and snub mount replacement this month. This was right before waterfest of 04 in July

I'm not sure what i still have planned for this car, hopefully some new suspension components after january. Not sure about the turbo upgrade yet though.

Sweet...I have the same setup as you a Cassablanca 98.5 1.8T, except from the outside my car still looks like your first pic, but that will all change very soon.
