damn tape

Well, I got my spoilers mounted, but the tape on the trunk spoiler didn't hold on one corner. [=(] So I'm going to have to pull it off, replace the tape, and try again.

Anyway, here's a crappy, blurry picture so you can (kind of) see what it looks like.

... my Oetti spoiler I believe is suppose to use an adhesive glue but I got 3m body tape, really hope it holds well (haven't installed yet, sent it back to the paint shop)

I think I know what happened, and I'm to blame.
I prepped the trunk lid, lined up the spoiler and did the taping to mark where the corners should go. Then I needed my wife's help to be sure it got it lined up right on both sides the first time. This is at 8:15. She's on the phone.

At 9:45, she finally gets off, and I have her come help me out. At that point, I'm pretty sure some minor condensation had happened on the trunk lid, keeping the wing from adhereing down properly. So I have to re-do it.

I would rather redo this every year than drill my deck lid.

If you get it down when its dry it should stick forever.

where in gods name did you get that roof spoiler...please tell..more pics of it on their installed? and yea us the 3m tape to tack it into place, but line the rest of it with silicone adhesive and tape it down to keep the corners on good until it dries..painters tape works great..this way its on there hella tight but will come off with no harm done it needed

You know I have seen like 3 C5s with one of the sides peeling off on the rear spoiler. Maybe it's just cause of the whole jellybean ass that is curvy? Anywho, I would just redo it. What kind of tape did you use?

I used the tape it came with. As for the roof spoiler, I bought it off of 5speed6 and had it repainted silver to match my car.

nooo...wheel spacers[up] front space out only a lil to clear calipers..them smash them out in the rear for a real beast look[hail][wrench][evilsmile]

honestly i dont think there is a big enough demand for a6 items to warrant theft of that...if you were concerned about theft i think you have a greater chance of the whole car getting jacked..personal opinion

they'd need to tow it, when things are shady I use the flashloader to load the 'kill' file so the injectors won't fire [up]
