Those of you living in the bitter cold, do you take your vehicle to the car wash in the winter? My wheels need a good cleaning, but it's too cold out ... the car wash is never enough in terms of cleaning wheels.

There's nothing bad about washing your car in the cold, as long as the water doesn't freeze (37F and below). It's actually recommended that the paint be cold when washing/detailing a car. Luckily, my building has a car wash area in the parking garage.
Also, when washing your car, make sure you keep your hands warm!
