Who cares.., it's the internet... anyone can claim ownership of almost anything...

I'll post pictures of my Zonda later....

yeah false claims can be made all the time. There is one kid who is 19 years old in Western mass that drives an orange Lamborghini Gallardo convertible around. Sadly its actually his car... his father, the former owner of Yankee Candle who happens to be a huge car nut, bought it for him.

honestly...i don't think young kids from rich families would dig RS4's as much as they did M3's, C63's...or even GTR's.

It's not hard to spot someone faking ownership. however there definitely are teenagers who own ridiculously nice cars, and 99% of the time it's a gift from mommy or daddy.

Instead of faking ownership, why don't the owners just fake their age?

who even cares, if you're <20 years old its blatantly obvious you didn't buy the car yourself. The question is, who's parents are rich enough/dumb enough to buy their kid a $70K sports car

I dont necessarily think its dumb that someone loves their kid and has the money to buy them a nice car... If a kid is well deserving and parents have the money and generosity, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with buying them even a 500,000 car. I was in miami last year and a 17 year old kid came by and dropped a 250,000 deposit on a veyron at lamborghini of miami. Later on we found out his dad is the owner of the largest construction development company in europe and asia. I would totally buy my kid a bad ass car if i had the money and he was a good kid!

Yeah while I dont think buying a 75K+ car teaches the value of the dollar and worth ethic, Im sure anyone here if presented with the opportunity would be all for it.

I agree with that statement. Even though i dont own an RS4 my dad lets me take his out on occasion and i dont think there is anything wrong with that. I never speed with it just enjoy driving it. I never missed a hw always have a A average in school, never get in trouble and have been working since the day i got my working papers.

I'd just make sure to add some sort of advanced driving school along with it. Wouldn't want him to end up with a brand new M3 lodged in a house.

my good friend in high school got a bmw z4 JUST to learn how to drive stick when he was 16 with a permit. he got a 996 porsche turbo for his first car with a liscense, on the way from the dmv to us to show off the prick mobile i mean porsche, he decided to try and b cool by turning off esp and "try" drifting into the street where we were all standing and WHACK he understeered it into a curb... easily the happiest day of my life lol. end result was $17,000 in damages 2 hours into having a license plus a slightly lower ego. i was fortunate enough to have parents that were willing to get me an s4 for my second car(first was a toyota highlander hand-me-down from my sister for about a year) and for the rs4 thats all me baby and im 23

I had a 1980 VW Scirrocco in high school. I had to buy it myself :(

But it was a cool car, had the sliing fabric moonroof, the 15" BBS rims (15's were huge back in late 80's!) It was also metallic green! The BBS rims were gold. What a fun car.

congrats if you're that guy who had to do everything yourself, buy everything for yourself.. more power to you. I really dig it and shit, but when you ahve to go and shove it in my face, f that. I'm sorry that I didn't fully pay for my car myself, it's not even that expensive to buy nowadays.

I konw that if I make bank, my kid is getting a tight car.. but his ass is grass if he does stupid shit in it. or if he crashes it or whatnot he's not getting another cent for a car.

I imagine I would do the same. However one thing I've noticed is that every single one of my friends who got a car from the parents back in high school ended up crashing it at least once. One of them gotten in over seven wrecks and the parents kept fixing it. The kids who bought their own cars, for the most part, never got in any accidents. Its just that people who have things handed to them don't appreciate it.

i agree w/ the 99% statement vs the blatant obvious above. i know a select few <20 yr olds that have their own means to purchase their own 50k+ cars... but then again u can still say their parents provided for them in some point. rich kids are taught how to make money.

my friend got a brand new MDX for his 16th birthday, not too bad, but when his dad is in FL which is all the time, he gets to use his M6... I'm jealous of that. He's also gotten into 4 fender benders, but still dumb. I'm 16 and bought my A4 w/ my own money and haven't crashed once. I really do believe you learn the value of money better if you buy stuff w/ your own money. just my .02

Kid I know from High School, his dad died so he got some $$$. Went out a couple weeks later, traded in his truck and got the 1st white RS4 in the country - only to have the check bounce and 2 weeks later having to give the car back to Audi. Idiot, then he bought a E46 M3, sold that for fully loaded 07' Escalade, put 26s on it, system, lowered it, and now he just bought a 06' STI...kid has no financial aspect on his $, no one to guide him on his purchases which is what I hate.

The only problem I have is when they have "better-than-you" attitude and fail to realize that it's not their car. It's their parents, I don't care what they say. They didn't get a paycheck for it so they didn't pay for it, so it's not theirs, it was given... like how I give bums my spare change at the gas station. It deserves no extra respect than the guy who works hard at a $50k/yr job and gets a nice A4.

Dunno about the who the youngest kid is, but here is my story...

Parents quit the yuppie life so I could grow up in a "safe" area (outside of Los Angeles)...Dad is an MBA with an engineering background and he tossed it all and bought a small business in a small town.

Grandma died and I inherited my first car a BMW 2002 (mint green) when I was 16 the car was already 13 years old. My parents told me that I could have the car if I had a job and paid for gas and insurance. I took the little money I had and re-built that 2 liter in our garage; just me and the Haynes manual. It sure wasn't a looker, but it went like stink. I used to beat the kids in their brand new MK III Supras and CR-Xs.

Guess my point is take what you're given and make the best out of it, who cares if you don't have the latest and greatest. In the meantime, think about the sacrifices that your family makes for you, even if they don't hand you the keys to that new RS-4...

It's not about whether you can afford to or not. It's about learning the value of money and having the driving experience and maturity to handle that much power on the street.

If you are a wealthy car enthusiast and want to share that with your children, I 'm not saying you should buy them a $5000 beater, but show a little moderation in your selection. How about a VW GTI, Honda Civic Si, or Audi A3 even. Nothing wrong with a loaded up Mazda 3 either. Giving children high powered super cars is irresponsible and dangerous. Even the most "mature" teenagers don't have the impulse control or judgement to properly use such power.

Between my wife and I, we have an RS4, a Porsche Cayenne S, an A6 4.2 and a Nissan Maxima SE. We bought our 18 year old daughter a Nissan Sentra.

My kids (hopefully one day) will be getting a 3-4 year old A4 quattro with a 4 cylinder and paying for part of it. I dont care how well they are behaved, giving a kid a car with substantial power is just plain irresponsible.

Being successful is more than just having a nice car. If that were the case I could buy a Ferrari tomorrow and still have money left over to pay for a nice apartment, go out, and have decent things. Instead, I choose a house, a family I support, investments for the future, and saving for a bigger house.

The point is, just because you can afford it doesn't mean having it is the right decision. Just because someone chooses to live in a dump with 3 roommates and can make his $600 car payment, that doesn't make them a success. I'm not saying this is you, but I have noticed it, not necessarily here on AZ, but friends of friends.

who the hell derserve such a nice car seriously. I dont care if I can afford to give my kid a car I wont. My parents could have bought me a 10 000$ ride yet they didnt and I glad they didnt.Had a 500$ car sold it to buy some clothes and couldnt afford a car for 2 years after. Thats where I learnt. Most of the times parents buy there kids a car so they can brag to neighbors or to their collegues. I dont give a crap what other people think of me. I went once in my life from a 50K car to a 20K to a 1K car to a other 50K car thats where how you learn that you cant take anything from granted. Hell give me an old B6 S4 and I wont complain thats its old or slower than my current car. The average joe working his butt off can barely drive a corolla(unless in Cali). Go to Canada,Michigan,Ohio, Vermont to see. Lots of people in Cali lost contact with reality ....its like a mini DUBAI.

To VVGYou did the right thing at lease when she has something to look up...she will start dreaming of having something like a maxima and will work hard in order to get it. She will eventually bang up the sentra so who cares.

i also don't agree with parents making their kids pay for their own car if they can only afford a POS... that is irresponsible to let your kid drive around in something cheap and unsafe just as giving them a super fast car is irresponsible... my first car i got for my 16th b-day it was a B5 a4 in black with bbs wheels and surf racks.. the exact car i wanted .. my dad wanted me to have a safe car and something i liked.. of course i rather had an s4 but i took the a4 ...then i sold that a year later and bought a TT i took out a loan(through my dad) and paid him $200 a month.. then he bought my brother a a6 4.2 (which cost more then my first car) so to even things out he paid off my TT... so i put my TT down on my current car and took out a loan for the rest... so my parents helped me to get the car i am at now but yet still taught me responsibility and i was always driving a nice car... so as i think parents shouldn't buy their kid a really fast first car...they still shouldn't let their kids drive around in a shitty unsafe hunk of shit...

i think buying your kid a 420hp supersedan is RETARDED

you're just asking for a dead kid, or one of his friends dead (or a lawsuit from the family of the pedestrian/other driver he kills)

here's what happens when you buy your kid a pickup truck...never mind an RS4. 'Driver was texting and ran off the road'. He REALLY picked the wrong garage to crash into.

No lecture here...
But my salesman at the Audi dealership was letting me check out an RS4 on the lot and told me about the car. It had just been traded in by a (very) wealthy/prominent guy around here. There's a museum named after his father, that sort of thing... They actually also fund the largest charitable trust fund in the area. So the kid told his dad to take the RS4 back, he wanted a Tahoe. "Didn't like driving stick every day and felt bad about being in such a nice car at his age"
Not everyone with money is a total d-bag!
Ok sorry, there was a minor lecture in there! :D

im 21. not all young kids have their parents buy their cars. i just dont have a house payment. if i bought a house today i would have to sell the car. anyone can afford a 5-600 car payment. hell you can work at white castle and afford it.
Some people care about cars some dont. i drive to florida. i see a corvette. whats in front of it. a trailer.
10.000$ living space $50.000 car.

My parents gave me alot- snowmobile car 4 wheeler dirtbike etc.
didnt hurt me growing up. bought and paid for the s4 all on my own

I get alot of (DID YOU BUY THAT CAR)
(YUP I DONT HAVE KIDS AND I DONT HAVE A HOUSE, I DONT BUY DRUGS AND I DONT BUY BEER OR CIGS.)
sOME PEOPLE IN AMERICA COULD AFFORD 200-400 MORE A MONTH ON SOMEHTING IF THEY DIDNT SMOKE OR DRINK.

I agree with what people have said about if your parents have the means, there is nothing wrong with them buying you a car if you deserve it. That being said, my father made me pay for my first car. Not only did I have to pay for it, but he chose it (we leased a 2004.5 audi a4). We got a good deal because we had bought cars from there in the past. My brother had the car first and I got it a year and a half later. I had to work two jobs during high school to pay for it (lease, gas, and insurance). When I got to college, my dad said he did not want us to have to worry about paying for a car and got my brother and I a 335 to share. After both of us busted our asses to pay for our first car, I do not see anything wrong my parents supporting us. Im sure this debate could go on endlessly because some of our parents gave us these cars, while others worked hard to pay for their own. As someone who can relate with both, former is definitely preferable.

im 17 and i have a 2005 audi a4 b6 1.8t 6mt which my dad bought for me i know to a lot of people on here its not very up there compared to their rs4s and s4s but to me and the people im friends with its a very nice car specialy for my age. I take care of and i dont treat it like sh!t. Many people i know they get things from their parents and treat it with such disrespect. i was originaly suppose to get a old beat up bmw which also would of been nice but ended up with a suprise. i learned the value of dollar as my dad made me work whenever i could which i ended up working for him everyday. i think that if the kid can respect what is given to him and can learn the value of a dollar and is a good kid why not treat him to something nice if you have the money.

[confused] Your dad forced you to pay for a brand new audi??? Doesnt sound right [headbang].

I personally love it when spoiled kids drive around in 6 figure cars! I bought my 04 A4 all myself, and what I love best of all is when they think there so cool and think they can beat anyone on the road!

-- There is this one girl who drives a 2008 SL55 AMG with Ashanti white 20" rims and one day we were racing, and man does she need to learn racing 101! She might have beat me on the GO but she couldn't weave through traffic like I did! Funny part was in the process of trying to weave she rim rashed her left tires and rims real bad! HAHAHA --

inexperience + fast cars = bad things.

im not against parents buying their kids a new car, or even a really nice car, but buying them a fast car is irresponsible in many situations.

Well put, I agree with this statement 100%. I hope I can afford to buy my son a sweet ride when that time comes. But no matter what, it won't have 400+ HP.

[headbang][headbang][headbang] I guess you don't have to be spoiled to be an idiot. Save the racing for the track bud, or at the very least a road where you don't have to "weave through traffic".

shit my first car was an 86 honda civic 5 speed. That was about 3 years ago lol. And it was only partially mine because it was my dad's car that he bought for work. Until he eventually decided to buy a chevy blazer for his work car for better supplies space all i was able to drive was the 2002 V6 passat on special occasions. Yeah i would have liked a better first car but it did the trick. And i was able to get my stupids out in the car that had zero power haha. Then i moved up to my 97 passat VR6 which i loved. I think because of that civic i was able to appreciate lesser cars more just because i drove around a really ugly car i didn't like at first. So anything would have been an improvement haha. And my parents told me if i wanted anything new that it was my responsibility to get a job and save for it myself. So that's what i did and i now have my 2003 a4 quattro. It's no RS4 but i fuckin love my car. It's my baby and i am very protective of it.

I also went to a very rich school where everyone drives hella nice cars and it was very typical to have jackasses. In fact a lot of kids had that "i'm better than you" attitude. My senior year the parking lot consisted of a black Hummer H2 on 22's, a 2004 white denali on 24's, a 2006 M3 in that sick blue color, an 2004 STI, two 2003 RSX-S', a 2006 mercedes CL600, and a 25th anniversary GTI. Of all those kids i only knew 1 who i could actually tolerate and was a very stand up kid. He drove the completely stock 2003 RSX-S. The other kid has every mod under the sun paid for by his parents and was a total douche bag. It's very rare that i have ever come across any kid with a nice car who doesn't have an attitude.

My story is as such. When I was learning to drive I used my mom's grand marquis to learn on and my cus who is 6 years older than me had a 1990 audi 80 with about 153k miles on it. I bought it from her for $2k myself. All the expenses of it were paid by me and I took care of it like it was a RS4 cause it was all I had. After 2 years it started really falling apart and becoming a money pit so we traded it in to get a 2001 TT. I was paying for it and paid for most of it while I worked at a pizza place and a retail store. Had it for about a year when a deer came out of nowhere while I was on an off ramp, clipped it and went off into the bushes. Insurance paid for it and I got a 2000 B5 S4 for the same amount and love it to death. All gas and insurance is paid by me, so are the repairs and all the mods I've done. I really just mod it when something breaks and since it's a B5 S4 everything breaks pretty much. We're about to come into some money and because I've taken care of this car so well and have done well in school my mom is considering getting me a used RS4 if we can find one for ~50k. I commute to school and plan to commute to law school at temple as well. Also with my girlfriend living about 80 miles from me in north jersey I put a lot of miles on my car and the S4 is getting up there. I'm a responsible college student and I know I could never personally afford a RS4 right now but am very grateful for the opportunity to own one. Just kinda shopping around right now still though.

One of my friend's however is 23 and is on his second e60 M5 because he totaled his first in his driveway when it was wet and was trying to show off. We're just waiting for him to crash again. Oh and the first one he had for 2.5 months. 2 months after crashing it and they ordered him a new one.

I dont know about the rest of you but I am currently 19 yrs old, and have had a s4 since I was 18. I completely bought the car myself outright, by working for 4 years through school and over the summers. I had no help from my parents in paying for my car and I decided that that was what I wanted to spend my money on. Granted, with the current state of the economy, the depreciation of my car as compared to the stock market actually makes my car a good investment, as I only paid 22k for my car when the market wasn't in shambles. Basically, you cannot generalize and make assumptions about every young person who drives a nice car. Everyone gets jealous when they see someone with a nicer/more expensive/faster car than them, you just need to take it with a grain of salt. Life is not always fair, you just need to aspire to make enough money to afford whatever you want.

you know i'm pretty sure this thread is pointless. Cause there's probably a kid somewhere who has one on their 16th birthday. So really the kid can only be so young. Unless their parents are retarded and buy it when they are 13 and make them wait. But i bet there is probably a permit kid with one somewhere.

I'm going to say that the youngest person on this forum with an RS4 is around 20 or so....

spoiled kids don't appreciate their cars, thus they would not be interested spending their time on a car forum. Instead, they rather be spending their parent's money and doing drugs.....
