How much can the s4 Tranny handle?

Question:

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the s4 tranny would have problems handling much more power than stock? I mean not a 10 or 20 hp .. but what about 100hp .. a freind of mine told me when he had his older a4 a while back he popped in turbo and a bunch of other stuff that knocked his hp up more than 120 hp (or something like that i dont remember the complete detail) .. but the result was he crapped out his transmission twice ...

I wish I knew but I would have to say 100 HP shouldnt be a problem. there are A4 guys making 300+ sometimes 400 HP. The 400 guys probably wil have motor problems very soon but these cars are strong. They are built for perfomance.

The tip is out of the RS6 which means you can get at least 110 HP. I have heard of RS6's putting out 550 HP+ on stock trannys so you have some comfort there. I am not sure about the 6 spd.

I think Champion uses the B6 S4 6 speed in their RS6s
