"The Sixth Annual Mini Le Mans of San Jose on Wednesday, Oct. 13, will give Downtown San Jose office workers a sample of what fans can expect at the Audi Sports Car Championships taking place Oct. 15-17 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Drivers and cars from the American Le Mans Series and the SPEED World Challenge, North America's premier sports car racing series, will put on a demonstration during the noon hour on a temporary racetrack around Downtown San Jose's Plaza de Cesar Chavez."

Norm: I know you'll be there since you work a couple blocks from there. Do you know a Kathy Hsueh at Adobe who drives a white TT? She's a Norcal Audi Club member.

Gerald/Edwin/Ted/Wallace/Anth: any of you guys wanna hit this up for lunch??? Holla back!

Says they start at noon, and they race around for about a half hour. After that they sign autographs and shoot the shit with fans for an hour or so.

Sonoma Chicken Coop sounds perfect! Love that place!

like an idiot i made plans for lunch at bj's before checking on this, so hopefully i can bail out early and join you cats in on the fun. vehicle lineup this year doesn't sound as exciting as last year though.

btw- sonoma chicken coop is teh spot!

haha u got it. Don't think i can make it to the races this weekend. have a model expo to cover tomorrow during the day and just got confirmation that i'm shooting a model tomorrow evening. shoot pics of cars or shoot pics of a model...hmm tough decision [;)]

ok not really. the cars were going maybe 25 mph but you can do wonders with a slow shutter and a steady hand[;)]

i was going to put it up as part of C&M coverage of the ALMS/Speed races this coming weekend but looks like we won't be covering it since we've got a full weekend of covering other events.
