Even though it's been quiet in here, I wanted to post this event for those who will be in the NE Ohio area...

2nd Annual Cuyahoga Valley Cruise

http://www.flyingdreams.org/personal/seasons/fallinthecountry.jpg

It's time once again to hold the annual Cuyahoga Valley Fall Cruise. It will be held on Saturday, October 16th. It should be near peak leaf season combined with all of the twisty roads throughout the Cuyahoga Valley Nartional Recreation Area. This will be a relaxed cruise to not only enjoy the drive, but to take in the fall scenery (i.e. perfect to bring along S.O. or date! [;)] ).

This year, there's an added bonus of finishing the cruise with a clambake over at Bunker's Sports Bar and Grill (a favorite NE Ohio GTG hangout). Because of the preparation needed for the clambake, please respond if you are gonna make it. You'll also need to state how many will be going and if you would prefer clams, steak, or chicken (for those not into shellfish).

For the cruise, we will gather in the parking lot of Grinder's (corner of Hudson Drive, Steels Corner Road, and Allen Road) at 10:00am. We will begin the cruise promptly at 10:30am. Here's a map to get to the starting point:

The cruise is approximately 65 miles and will take you past remains of the Ohio Canal, a pioneer village, one of the last standing covered bridges in Ohio, the location of the former Richfield Colliseum (now an open field), and lots of wooded terrain.

If you can't make the cruise, but would like to attend the clambake, you're more than welcome. Please also reply to this thread with info on who is attending (and preference) so we know how many to expect and what food to prepare.

Deadline for registration will be Tuesday October 12.

Sorry you couldn't make it. It turned out to be a lot of fun for a lot of people. You can follow this link for pics from the event: http://www.ohiovw.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18712

We have monthly GTGs out in Medina at Bunker's Sports Bar and Grill on the 3rd Saturday of the month. There's also some peeps in the Akron area that are doing a small GTG on Tuesday nights meeting first in the empty parking lot of the old K-Mart store in the Montrose area (I-77 & S.R. 18) between 8pm-8:30pm before heading over to the Thirsty Dog.

It will be November 20th - the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Directions to get to Bunkers can be found here: http://audiclubna.org/chapters/ohio/bunker.html

We're also planning to hang out tonight over in the Montrose area. We'll be meeting at the empty K-Mart parking lot at 8:30pm. That's over by I-77 and S.R. 18 (W. Market St. / Medina Rd.) There's a Marathon gas station at the corner and a Macaroni Grill on the other corner of the road that leads back to the lot (straight back).

Around 8:45/9:00pm, we'll head over to Bennigan's on "The Hill". It's visible from the K-Mart parking lot looking over at I-77. It's on the other side of the highway, so you would take S.R. 18, go under I-77 and turn Left onto the first road that will lead you to the place.

Not at all! We all respect and appreciate German vehicles... even other imports on occasion (like a 350Z, or a STi) [;)] Mostly Dubs and Rings that show up for the GTG.
