So my lease is coming up on my a4 and I might be getting into another b7 audi from a private party. The new one does not come with Nav but the one I'm turning in does have nav. Might be a stupid question but would I be able to swap the stock stereo for the nav unit. A friend at my dealership (salesman) seems to think it wouldnt be a problem as long as anything swapped is still an OEM product. He says all the lease inspector really looks for is everything to be in working order, good tires, OEM wheels, minimal wear and tear etc. He doesn't even work for Audi. Just curious what anyones thoughts are. What's the worse they could do? Make me put it back? Thanks, and please not looking for a flame war just an honest question.

The inspector probably doesn't work directly with the original lessor (bank that leased the vehicle) or Audi but I do remember at the time when you take delivery of the vehicle, one window sticker goes to you and another copy was sent off along to the bank for funding, if you're lucky, you'll *probably* get away with it; or it might creep up on you later.
Also, I don't see why the original NAV system wouldn't work with another A4.

my question is why not buy out your A4 ? is the miles ? damage ? year ? color ?......if it is fine find out what the actual buy-out price is and you might want to consider buying the vehicle out yourself and then swapping the units or selling it for more then what the buy out is worth and upgrading the other B7....
