UK figure. 1 imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallon. They also measure using different criteria.

Interesting EPA standards, $3.00 a gallon huh?

You noticed that too? Most window stickers on dealer lots have similar...no matter which brand. They're fooling themselves...but not the consumer (hopefully!).

thats also tiptronic..so doesnt that mean mpg could be higher on the 6 speed?

sometimes it's higher on the auto though. In theory, you might be able to get almost 30 if it was a 6 speed front track...

Try $4.50 a gallon at the station a block from my house.

It is better -- This is what I got from Auditalk....

----------------------------------------------

<snip> We have
just received fuel consumption figures for the A4, and they will be
added to the site soon. If you want to know now, the 2.0TFSI sedan
quattro manual 6-speed gets 22 mpg city and 30 highway.

Thank you again for your interest.

27 * 1.2 = 32.4

isnt the 42mpg 2.0T a different engine? it's based on the 1.8T.

The B8 2.0T IS the "different" engine based on the EA888 1.8T. They also measure differently in Europe.
