Is it possible to swap steering wheel controls on B7?

I tried, but I cannot get used to the awkward placement of the steering wheel controls with the volume being on the right and scroll being on the left. I wonder what kind of genius designed it this way[down]. Do the UK-spec B7 cars have it on the opposite sides, and if so, is it possible to swap?

There is no LHD or RHD designation. I think they're the same world-wide...
