I'm new to audizine, but have heard of it through the grapevine. Just thought i'd introduce myself real quick. My name is Brian, i'm 19 years old and i go to Columbia Basin College. I live in Kennewick, WA and work at a Honda dealership to pay for my car. I had a 2000 camaro but after lots of convincing from a friend with a 95 Jetta VR6 to go euro, i recently traded it in 2 days ago for my new baby, a 1997 Audi A4 quattro 2.8 5spd. She's only got 61k on her and not a ding on the entire body. Dark blue with tanish gray/black leather interior. I will try to post pics up soon, but just thought i'd say whats up to everyone.

well i'm the only YOUNGER person who drives an audi lol. mines just as stock as the rest of them tho, for now. Already ordered an intake...there is a burnt orange a4 rollin around here that is lowered with chrome 19's on it...but definitely not "racey"...more "blingy". i have friends with other euro cars. got a friend with a VERY clean jetta VR6 with cams and nitrous.

^^^^Copy and paste that link. thats a picture of his car. so i'm not FULLY alone.

What do you reccomend for modifications to the 2.8? all i have planned is intake and exhaust, then some cosmetics ie: lower, rims, grille, smoked lights...etc.

Hey who's the guy in Spokane. I used to live there with my Audi. Surprisingly there were a lot of Audi's over there. They're sweet in the snow.

I was the guy from Spokane. [:)] It was the rear that I needed :) But that's all fixed now and though I still have my Audi(Looking to sell it) I now have a MKIV GTi. Lately, I've seen tons of B5's around. Couple slightly modded ones too which is cool....

Welcome, sorry I'm late guys.

Another 12V huh? Welcome to the club! Mods for a 12V are easy, they go a little something like this...

Wheel bearings
Timing belt
CV joints
Control arms
ABS sensors
Tie rod ends

[:D] Seriously though, it's a love hate relationship. For real, right now. Check your synchros and clutch... if it's all good, get a SSK. I have the UUC but I don't reccomend waiting for 7 months for it. Maybe the Neuspeed would be a better choice as it's readily available.

2: Get coilovers.... don't get springs... get coilovers, trust me!!! I'm telling you this from experience. They will be a little more but you will be much happier in the long run and you won't have wasted the money on springs.

Did I mention get coilovers? Coilovers... [:o] Ok that's the end.. wait, get coliovers! Ok, really that's the end.

Nice rims and nice brakes. Braided steel brake lines are a must!! You won't need 13" slotted and cross-drilled brakes with carbon fibre pads... what idiot would get those... [:p] They are severe overkill. This is another thing you just need to trust me on [:D]

Well hey... Welcome to the Zine! It's always good to meet new people. Welcome to the 12V crew also [:D]

a little overly enthusistic are we tim? hehe j/k

tim's mostly right............... ok he's completly right...

but i might add toget an intake and exhaust as well i just got an intake for it and it was money well spent i believe, some gains in the powerband but i believe my true gains will come after i get a heatshield installed and an exhaust... feels like there is more power to unlock there....

but yeah research and ask around... dont be an idiot and just buy what seems awesome... might be able to spend money better elsewhere...

peace

Yeah i know what ou mean, i was looking at a 97 Z28 before this car and i KNEW that the A4 would have gotten killed by the camaro. I just love the curves of the A4 over the camaro.

We've always been here... but when another 12Ver posts something we have a light on our instrument cluster that blinks until we read the post and reply... it just resets itself, no need to VAG it.

man... why does everyone pick on me?!

kyle, yeah the intake is owrking great...

nico, because would be harder to go my style custom widebody in the front... now if u want to pay for me to get a real widebody then i wud be more than obliged to accept!
