what would you say if you brought your car to a place and....

In doing the work on your car they broke something.

Now, they offer to fix it for you...but they never do. In fact, they literally stand you up 3 times when they make appointments to fix it and just don't show up, leaving you there alone. They make no phone calls to cancel, they just don't show up.


Just curious, because my anger level is at an all time high

my lawyer, well if a had one would be making the next appointment, or taking it to somewhere else to get fixed and they pay for it

Well I am one, and I am about to take it somewhere else and do exactly that. I'm trying to give them a chance to fix it out of good faith.

the first two times, the guy said he will come to my work and get my car, and bring it back fixed. 2 times he says to me on the phone "im on my way to get it" and never shows up. No calls to cancel, just doesn't show. His reasons, in order of use

1. It was raining, and someone was on the phone so I couldn't call
2. I couldn't get a ride there and I was too busy to call you to tell you I wasn't coming.

Yesterday they finally (on the 3rd time) took my car to fix it. I was at work and they came and got it and said they'd bring it back. 5pm rolls around and they didn't bring the car back, and they didn't pick up the phone. I finally get a hold of the guy and he's like "yeah, they didn't get to it...I'll come and get you and bring you to the car".

6:45 rolls around and I am still waiting outside my building. Everyone left work and I have no ride home. The guy isn't picking up his cell or the shop number.

Eventually I make a friend bring me there and I just take it. He calls me after and tells me to bring it in today and they will fix it. Suprise suprise, no one is picking up the phone(s).

I am SO pissed

I had actual chest pains yesterday as I was sitting in the parking lot of my office. I was holding in so much stress and anger, I was about to flip out so bad.

Now they are gonna fix it tomorrow, they broke the "clock spring" when they were putting in my turbo timer.

I've dealt with a shop like that before... heck, they still owe me money for parts I paid for but never got and shoddy work done to my engine.

There's no real way to even get these guys to work. Definitely feel for ya and wish you best of luck in getting your car fixed soon. But please share their shop name once you're ready!!

Does anyone even know what the "clock spring" is? That's what they broke, its behind the steering wheel.

The car is working fine, but the ABS, Brake, and Traction Control lights are always on. Plus,the steering wheel makes a funny noise when you turn it all the way

update: Still not fixed. I showed up for my 12pm appointment, no one was there. The guy shows up at 1:45pm and tells me he doesn't have a key to the place. I go home.

Mind you, I took off the afternoon from work to make the appointment.
