New LED Tail Backlights for A4 B8

Hello!
I'm a happy owner of the new A4 B8! Black and with the new LED headlights. Sorry to say, as in meny forum here, there is no LED option for the backlights - yet! But, there is a proof of that they in fact really exists. I saw some pictures of the new Audi A4 DTM, and there they was. They looked extreamly wonderful. Thats the way it should be.
Is there anyone who know if they are original factory-maid, or is it OEM part? If it is Factory-maid - i think it would be very expensive. If it is OEM, i would be very happy if someone know were to by it.

Congrats on the new A4! Are you sure they are not LED taillights? I understand why Audi would offer headlights in two configurations, HID and bi-xenon but not taillights.

welcome and congrats. as far as factory made and OEM, it's the same thing. if you're looking for aftermarket tail lights I have no idea where to get any, oempl.us? they're an advertiser on here

like previous dtm cars, they usually have parts not available to the public, particularly stuff we'd be interested in like LED tails and headlamps. if you look back in that picture gallery, same can be said for the b7 a4's, like the LED headlamps in the pic below.

Thank you for your answers guys! There are meny different LED taillights for previous models of A4, and hopefully it will appear even for B8. If anyone of you guys see my wanted tailights - please let me know!!

I have found out that Hella is the manufacturer of Audi's LED Taillights. But, they dont sell it to aftermarket, they told me. They only did the lights specially for DTM. So i was a little bit sad after that answer.
But gladly, i saw the new pictures of the new S4 B8, and what did i see... LED Taillights!!! :-) I just wonder how long you have to wait to acctually make an order at Audi, and most important; how much it will cost.

so true. the dtm race car version of the b7 also had led tail lamps, but not for sale anywhere

I don't think they are LEDs but reflectors designed to look that way. I honestly don't like the LEDs as they look ricey. The B8A4 has very nice tails that look way better than LEDs in my opinion. They have very nice segmented sections inside the taillight which look very cool.

the ones on the S8 do not look ricey at all!

In the recent announcement for the 2010 S4, Audi confirmed that the S4 will be delivered with LED taillights. So, it's just a matter of time until we can get them through OEM sources.
while the tail lights for the B7 A4 were as much as $300/Pair, I suspect that the new lights will be lower cost, due to the fact that there will no doubt be a lot of interested parties looking to purchase them.

Hey NEw guy just got my B8 A4 and i was woundering the same thing about LED tail lights but the lights have the same shape just LED's so why not just buy LED's and change them out from Super Brite LED. com let me know what you think?

Just remember that they will not work on a US MY2010 - only on MY2009
