My car is Audi Assured or whatever, and I got it about 3 months ago. I need to get some stuff checked out under warranty, can I demand a loaner from them?

Just wanted to get a consensus on here before I go in there demanding things

No it is not required but most dealers should hook you up,, if not then you should switch dealers.

I always get one, and they have been very nice cars everytime. From a TT to an Allroad.

Yes, you should have no problem getting one. But Audi does not require it, it is a curtisy of the dealer. My dealer has a Budget Rental next door,, and they hook you up with a Neon rental or some crap like that. Needless to say I don't go to that dealer anymore.

Ha, Don Rosen tries that also. They wanted to give me a Toyo Corolla one day. I simply told them that I drove and Audi in, and if I was to be given a loaner, I'd expect to be an Audi aswell. Needless to say that was a nice A6 3.0 day.

At my dealer the loaners were backed up until October. Thus, I have no car

They told me no. They said no loaners after 50,000 miles. I'm like "mine has 50,001" and he didn't seem to care.

So much for Audi Assured Certified, apparently its not "just like" buying a new car from them

I got mine from Legend. Beiner was a bunch of assholes. I was looking at a 2000 s4 tip with 22,000 miles on it. They were asking 24,500 and I said I would give them 23. The guy goes "obviously you can't afford a car like this" and refuses to even budge on the price. He said the only way he has ANY room is if i don't buy it Audi Assured Certified.

I go to legend, I see my 2001 S4 with 48k. I talk the guy down to 23,500 and I'm done. (last day of the month)

As I get home, the guy from beiner calls me and is like "we'll sell it to you for 23,500". I told him too little too late and hung up.

I liked legend, but I read some bad things about them on the net. I'm taking my car to Huntington Audi, I heard nice stuff about them and they have S techs

I got my car from Legend too. Same thing, 2001.5 S4 6 speed [:)] My dad works there in the parts dept so I got the car for their buyout price on the lease that it was traded in on.
Anyway, to answer your question about getting a loaner from them, they dont do it anymore because of insurance reasons. They said too many people were crashing their jettas...lol. They also mentioned something about having to be over 25yrs old.(im only 22) When I had to bring my car in they got me a rental car from enterprise. I dont know if they do that for all of their customers though. I hope everything works out for you and keep us posted.

Oh and just out of curiosity, did you get the silver tiptronic S4 that they had there?

yeah, that's my car

do you know why I got it so cheap?

HAHA...thats cool. I had my dad keeping an eye out for any S4's that came in and I remembered him calling me a while back and telling me about a silver tiptronic that had just come in and I passed it up cauz I wanted a Nogaro 6 speed.
You probably got it so cheap because I dont think they have much of a market for used S4's. As strange as that seems I know, but when I got my car they also had a 2000 Nogaro blue 6 speed that came in at the same time and they just wholesaled it out. They just held my car for me for a week cauz they knew I was looking. In fact, I just heard that someone traded in an Acura NSX for a porsche and supposedly they sent that car out to the wholesaler too. You said you paid $23,500 right? I think I got my car for like $22,000 or something. Not much of a difference, but I remember hearing that they only sell those cars(S4's) for around $24,000 anyway. Ive seen them on like autotrader for like $27 -$28,000 though.

I think i know the kid who had your car before you. What a prick that kid was, he keyed my old car when I started going out with his ex. Almost stopped me from getting an S4 all together

Damn that sucks man. I hate when people screw with other peoples cars. Did you go to the dealership yet for your warranty stuff? Im interested to see what they do about getting you a car.
