...paint job? C.K. is pretty busy right now, so I'd like to know what other alternatives I have. Name, city, number and if you're pleased with their work. Thanks!

Pat deff go to Brook Motor cars in oakland. Dan does awesome work. Ive taken my car apart to do the stereo and I tried as hard as possible but couldnt tell the difference from factory. Its in oakland. You owe it to yourself to just drop by their show, you will be truely amazed at the facility and how clean and organized it is.

how much does a decent paint job usually go for anyway? just curious.

A decent paint job..one you would be happy with...runs from $5-10K. I am not kidding. You can get local body shops to do them for $2K-3K, but I would not recommend them for a full paint job.
I recommend Grace's Auto Body in South San Francisco for a full paint job. I have heard bad stories about German Auto Body in Santa Clara. Jack Perkins of Automotive Perfection in Redwood City use to be a very good vendor, but he has fallen off the edge of the planet. I have also used Union City Autobody in Union City (but Randy, the prior owner and main paint dude, sold the business to someone else, so I am not sure of quality right now). I also know and have used Jim @ ABC Auto Body in San Mateo (actually used him 6 times with cars prior to buying Audis)
Hope this helps.
