Has everyone forgotten about the B8 S4?

So I've been waiting for weeks to hear some sort of news regarding what engine the B8 S4 will have and suddenly I find this pic.

So now it's at auto shows and nobodys even posting the specs? Looks like a V8. So much for me buying this car. [down]

I was sure it would be a v8, even saying it would be a step back. Well I'm going to have to join the 3.0 SC V6 group. It seems that is the choice, the only good news is as a result I was told the price should fall between the old v6 tt and the V8 versions. I reserve judgement on buying one until I see it and drive it. BTW I really like the V8.

De Audi S4, hier een impressie zal met een 3.0 V6 TFSI valve-Lift twin screw four-lobe (twin Vortices Series) TVS Eaton Kompressor motor komen met 333 pk.
Verder zal de nieuwe S4 de nieuwe 7-speed DSG/S-Tronic (Audi Roadjet Concept) versnelling bak en QTV (Quattro Torque Vectoring) sportdifferentieel krijgen aldus Hans (een oplettende AudiBlogger).
I dont know that language, but i see v6 SC by Eaton.....

that article is old and it is another blog/forum with speculation. fourtitude has the same exact info on its site, where audiworld has the same description but with the TT choice. its still anyone's ballgame

Why the sudden change of heart Sean? I know how strong you felt about the B8 S4 being a V8. Have you spoken to anyone at Champion that had inside information? Also, what was the price of the B5 S4 when it first came out? Wasnt it in the low $40s??
