View Full Version : (B8's) A4 and A5 use the same suspension?

I'm wondering if since the A5 and upcoming A4 will both have the B8 chassis designation, the suspensions might be interchangeable? I only ask because I'm planning ahead for my A4 purchase and don't want to have to wait months before I can lower it. I see that both H&R and KW already have coilover kits for the A5/S5, so hopefully those kits will also be compatible with the A4. [wrench]

for some reason i doubt it because the weights will be different

Think they'll be THAT far off?

Quite likely. For example, even the B7 A4 3.2 uses some different suspension components than the B7 A4 2.0T cars.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't 2.0T and 3.2 use the same coilovers?

If an aftermarket company doesn't bother to come up with different coilovers for different engines, it doesn't mean the factory parts are identical.

Sorry for the confusion, but I didn't mean factory parts... I was talking about aftermarket coilover suspensions being interchangeable.
