So next weekend I'll be down in Philly and area for a cousins wedding. Flying in Friday morning, leaving Sunday early afternoon.

Looking at ideas of what to do to kill time while down there. I know a lot of time is going to be killed for the wedding and family stuff, but will have most of Friday to kill in Philly, and Sat morning before heading out to NJ then Sunday. So local boys, what's worth hitting up?

Plenty of places...

There is Jim's Steaks out on South Street...

Pat's Steaks.. right across the street from Geno's.. would go to Pat's before Geno's.... then there are a bunch of others... there are plenty of good ones right where I live....
uses Sirloin steak... for the meat.....

You guys want to meet Friday afternoon for awhile, hit up some lunch and chill in Philly?

Pretty much I have Friday until 4-4:30, or Sat morning. Sat I just have to make it down to Vineland for 1 (so meet the family in Philly around noon).

Nice, sounds like a plan to me.
What time can you get in to Pats for Evil?

I think we're staying at the Hilton, can give Skene a ring when I get in. My bro and I can meet up with him, then catch up with Evil and whoever else is around.

EVIL-AUDI

Yeah, I'm done by 12 and I'll be available after that. Someone will call I'm sure.

Evil only lives like 15 minutes from me...

What time was your flight coming in at Rip?

RippleChip
09-10-2004, 07:35 AM
Oh...

I fly in around 9 or 9:30.
I have no idea where the airport, hotel, etc are at this point. Family made all the plans since it was organized with the wedding. Can find that out on the weekend when we talk, and will have to take a look at the map.

skene

ahh ok... well it wouldnt really help...... without any names either.. but i can definately help you get a grip once you know where everything is.

EVIL-AUDI
09-10-2004, 07:42 AM
Yeah I'm not far from either place so it'll be pretty easy.

RippleChip
09-10-2004, 07:46 AM
Alright, I'll get back to you tomorrow on that with names of places, then we'll figure this out.

Thanks guys!

So I've been looking into all these places you've named off, all are really close to the hotel so that is perfect.

I fly in at 9, then plan on heading with the family to the hotel. Staying at the Hilton Gardens at the corner of Arch and 11th. Have to be back there by 3:30pm to get organized and off to the wedding.

Figure I'll give Skene a call when settled, then we can meet Evil and whoever else is able to down at one of those spots for lunch.

Sound reasonable? Ideas?

skene

[:D]

See Mark you picked it up without me even really saying it, that little word works so well eh!

Had a really good weekend, appreciate you bringing your ride into the city to pick me up. Driving around on Sunday I realize why you wouldn't really drive it around there, those roads can be horrible. We almost lost our crappy Buick rental in a few holes, always a good sign when you can bottom out one of those boats.

$20 donated to that friggin city! Damn you! It's worth it to keep my bumper on my car I guess.

marked001
09-20-2004, 06:06 AM
you didnt want to do the bumper mod?

EVIL-AUDI
09-20-2004, 06:15 AM
Not right now. I'm not ready to go modular at this point.

RippleChip

Judging the roads it doesn't seem that donation is going back into them.

EVIL-AUDI
09-20-2004, 06:28 AM
haha, yeah south street kinda needed some pavement. The sewer covers sticking out 6 inches above the ground were not car friendly.

Yeah that was pretty interesting. Lucky you just fit between them.

EVIL-AUDI
09-20-2004, 06:38 AM
I wouldn't have been able to fit over any of them at all. Can't expect much more from Philly anyway.
