I want a Diesel!!!

Im assuming for U.S 2.0t avants tuning potential will be limited by the tranny. I know the DSG can handle 400 tq.
Anybody know the limits of the tiptronic tranny?

current abt is to Audi design-wise, as current AC Schnitzer is to BMW design-wise:
ugly.

very cool but I so don't want a desiel. I would get one if gas prices get to much more out of control because you can go farther on desiel, but I like the Horse power of gas.

diesel is whooping the "gas" engine the tuned abt diesel is getting 310 hp 450 tq

a 2.0t will get you 210 hp 250ish tq with a chip and basic mpds (exhaust manifold intake) youll be lucky to hit 300 hp

The diesel sounds very sweet.

I don't like "twisted" or bending looking wheels.
I prefer linear designs that give the wheel a fake "in motion" look.
Porsche likes to do that to wheels. I don't like it at all.[down]

First of all gold is the worse damn color to debut a body kit in! Yuk! Plus now the B8 guys are not only getting screwed with no 6 speed, and no diesel, but ugly aero kits...damn.

What? The A4 will have a manual 6spd in the 2.0T version.
The 3.2 V6 won't initially, which is what happened when Audi introduced the B7 V6. The manual came later.
On the B8, the V6 may only get the new DSG and not an actual shift your own manual. But, I LOVE the DSG even though I'm a manual guy.

I've driven a number of DSG A3's and GTI's and that's one "auto" trans I can really live with. It's simply amazing. I didn't miss the clutch at all when driving them, at least not until I went to shut the engine off my left foot instinctively went for the non existent clutch. [:p]

Ah, yes. Sorry. I was thinking sedan.

But, the Avant will probably get the DSG when it's brought to the B8.
I've driven a number of DSG A3's and GTI/GLI's. It's an EXCELLENT transmission. In action if feels much more connected to the engine and the overall car, as it uses a real authentic clutch, very UNLIKE the torque converter automatic of the "tiptronic".

I am welcoming the coming of the DSG. I don't know if I will actually get an A4 with DSG, but I just might, especially if it's ready to go by next May when I need to find a new automobile. [:D]

i hope your right the only thing stopping me from getting a b8 avant is the tranny
it pisses me off that audi announces that the A3 will get quattro and DSG while it states that the higher class A4 avant will debut with a tiptronic
