by the looks of it, a 2009 A4 Prem+ w/ sline package is going to be one heavily priced car. $40-45k maybe? great option packages just doesn't make sense that you'd have to get the prem+ package in order to get the s-line or sport package. forces you onto options you may not want!

Das is going to be pricey. I guess I'll keep my current A4 for now.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any prices listed. [mad] @ no Titanium (or similar) package. Oh well, looks like I'll be checking alot of boxes either way.

Damn, base A4 here in Canada is $44k MSRP
If you guys expect from $40-45k in the US from a $33k base I don't want even want to know how much it is going to be up here.
Thanks for the options list there are quite a few new features compared to B6->B7 refresh.

Where did you get the $44k MSRP? From Audi Canada's configurator, base A4 FWD starts at $35,350. Base A4 2.0T quattro starts at $42,150. Base A4 3.2 starts at $49,500.

Sorry, you are right, I didn't look at the FWD. But the comparison between US Quattro and CAD Quattro was accurate
Here are updated (I should have checked if there were adjustments between Feb and now)
USD: 2.0 TFSI quattro 200 6 speed Details 31,000.00
CAD: 2.0 TFSI quattro 147(200) 6 speed Details 42,150.00
I do realize that Canada receives more equipment as Standard, however I still think the price is overinflated.
*shrug* They will do what they can get away with, as that is their responsibility to the stockholders...still sucks for a consumer.
EDIT: more info
FYI, Volvo V50
CAD:
2.4i $32,995
T5 $38,995
T5 AWD $41,495
USD:
2.4i $26,815
T5 $29,715
T5 AWD $31,565

Pricing structure for B7 was set way before the US$ tanked. If AoC lowered the price to match, it would cause a collapse of the used car market & they would lose too much $$$. The same goes for other brands as well. It's in their own interest to adjust in increments, which is what they are doing.

Good point: MoroIsAnOrange, although that still doesn't make the boning feel much better.
I do think that if the CAD dropped as fast as it went up, it would take them lest time to adjust the prices. Again, can't blame them, they are in the business of making profit...still sucks as a consumer

what happened to the cooled front seats?...i read in a review a few months back that the us model would have heated and cooled seats which was a big reason for upgrading
So no separate "sports suspension" option as in the b7? I thought that was a good deal for $500 for people who didn't want to go the whole 9 yards of s-line (or 19" wheels). I guess the 18" sports package is the way to go for me.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about the lack of separate sport suspension. Except in my case I'd forego the sport package in that case.

YES!
A REAL sport package option with "SPORT SEATS"!
I have asked and asked and asked.
Thank you Audi for delivering.
But, if a Premium Plus with 18" sport pkg gets to the low $40's, my butt will be in a 335i, not a 2.0T.
That's how it is. Performance over style when it comes this close. [drive]

I noticed there's no convenience package they currently offer for the B7, I'm assuming it was integrated into the premium package?

I'm glad Audi Drive Select is a stand alone option. I thought it might get included in one of the higher option packages. I wouldn't want it.

There was a discrepancy between the order sheet posted on this forum and the one my dealer had. The sheet posted here showed three trim levels - Standard, premium, and premium plus. The one my dealer has also shows three levels, but calls them Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. The three levels are identical in content respectively, but are titled differently. This caused some confusion as I spoke with my dealer on the phone, me reading from the sheet posted here and he from the sheet he had. We finally got on the same page though.
Anyway, Audi Drive Select is in fact only available on the highest trim level, "prestige". This is also true of the S Line package. Also, the S Line package is only available with a black interior.

I just ordered mine last weekend. There is one other discrepancy to the order guide posted here: you can no longer specify Navigation without the rear view camera. You can only get Nav+camera (option code PNK).

That's bad news.
But which package did you order? Nav (PND) was only supposed to be available with the Premium Package; and Nav+camera (PNK) only with Premium-Plus. Which suited me just fine, since I want Premium and don't need no stinkin' camera.
Anyone able to pre-order a 6MT yet?

Updated order guide indeed is with premier, premier plus, and prestige packages. Drive select only available with prestige. No prices listed on any Audi models except R-8 where 6-speed is 112,500 base and R-tronic is 121,500 base. With all options and gas guzzler tax about another 22,000 added. I placed an order for 09 A4 for my wife in quartz gray, prestige package, navigation and backup camera, drive select and my dealer was kind enough to let me use one of their demo slots so I should get it in August. Should be nice companion for the S5 I would think.

Prestige+PNK (Nav+Cam) It's always been Nav+Cam only for the highest package level. Nav without camera is for mid-level package only.

You missed my point. There is no nav-only option. It disappeared from the order guide altogether between the original release in April and May revision. You have to get Nav+Camera now, which IIRC, matches how you have to order it on the A5 too (could be mistaken there, did not try and build my own recently).

No, you missed my point. Even in the first order guide, the Nav only option was not available with the top package level. Nav option for the top package level has ALWAYS been Nav+Camera only.

A friend of mine place an order for an A4 Avant yesterday and there is no pricing yet. Yes it does seem weird to me too.
Hey do any of you guys know when the 6 spd manual will be arriving. Im in Los Angeles, and all the dealers I called say it is not even orderable, because it is not in the order books yet.
My current lease is running out of miles and I need to get into the new A4 ASAP. I do not want to settle for a 3-series, but I'm scared that I will be forced to settle.

I placed my order for the Avant on 6/27. It is due to arrive in late Sept early Oct. Went with the Prestige with sport package and metallic paint. Total cost is approx at $42K for the Prestige, $1500 for sport, $475 for paint and $775 for delivery charge + tax/title. Curious how everyone else's came in. I am getting a $2K discount off that for prior purchase so essentially getting the options for free. Can't wait!

I actually ordered from the regional manager of SW US (M. Ernie) who is a friend of a friend and he had a really good idea on what the pricing would come out to be approximately. I told him to give me a price then the $2K discount and that was that. Wow, I'm looking back at this orginal post I completely forgot about. I just couldn't wait back then! And it didn't come in until early Nov!
