Ok, I got the Greddy Turbo Timer installed in the cupholder (sweet).
When I turn it on, it goes from red to blue....i want it to be red all the time instead of blue. The directions say nothing about it.
1. How do I pick the illumination color?
2. How do I use the freakin thing? That is by far the worst instruction manual EVER. I can only get the damn thing to let the car sit for 1 minute and 30 seconds....which doesn't do me a lot of good.
3. How come when the car is running and the key is out, I can't use the remote to lock the car...I can't just leave the thing unlocked all over the place
Sorry if these are really, really dumb questions

Did you follow all the instructions from the AW tech article? Do your windows work? When I first did it my windows didn't work so i just used the other small red wire in the loom. I have the older greddy 3 and yeah the directions suck. There are a few features on mine that don't work the way they are supposed too. But it works and changing the countdown times works good. Mine just has a power button, select button and time button. Pressing the time button increases the time. Then just hold down the select button and it will set that preset for the time you entered. I don't know if that will work with yours. With mine the select button will switch between the two programs.

Haha, that's exactly what I thought not too mch english in that one. Changing the time settings is easy just press and hold the power button and then press the button to the right of that to scroll through the different settings; L,H,P-1,P-2. Off the top of my head the first two will only let you set it for 130. The other two I think are up to 10 minutes.
Not being aable to lock your car I'm guessing you tapped into the wrong wire like ben said. I did the same thing and my windows were wouldn't work.
If you figure out how to change the display color let me know.

My windows work fine, and the remote door locks work when the turbo timer is off....but when its on and working I can't lock the ****er.
There HAS to be a way to change the illumination. I will be so happy once I figure it out.

Did you cut that blue wire from the back of the fuse box and wire it to the "key on" wire? or the yellow terminal(i think 75x) behind the fuse box? If you didn't the alarm will still think the car is running and won't work.(this is how you fool it)

There is a blue/black wire that you need to cut behind the fuse box and put the wire at key on position. That way when you take the key off, you central locking system thinks that the car is off.... in turn able to remote lock the car.

You need to bridge the remote wire on the TT to fuse nummber 6. Splice it in and you will be able to lock your car.
The red illumination will only appear when in "attack" mode or briefly at startup. My wife is japanese and I had her diligently read through the manual for a way to keep it red all the time, unfortunately there is no way to do so. "Attack" mode is when it is timing the rpms, shifts, 0-60, and etc but, in order to do that you would have had to tap the wire at the back of your instrument cluster to make the mode work.

I got it to stay in red illumination in the voltage mode, and the speed mode....then when I turn the car off it automatically reverts to the blue mode and does the countdown.
as for the locks, I just use the key when I get out...for now

Yeah those are versions of the "attack" mode and you have to do it each time you turn the TT on.....PITA.
