Naw, fishing is more worthwhile than this thread. Speaking of, I havent been out on the lakes and delta in a while, I've still yet to catch me a sturgeon with my 18lbs line.

I caught a baby sturgeon once...that was a work out reeling that bad boy up...was fun though.

it's always crabbing season. just head out there right before the tide is high. (cdub to add 80's song lyrics here)

I think fishermans warf (Ghiradeli Pier) is overcrabbed, the catches are dissapointting now. I went crabbing a couple months ago (twice). Probably one or two "good" size crabs out of the whole time, if we caught anything at all. Years ago (1998ish) we used to pull the nets up full of crabs, now you're lucky if you see three. I guess they dont like chicken anymore. [;)]

Its a shame you have to throw back the dungeoness crabs too, those where the big(ger) ones i always seem to pull up. [;)]

we go to fort baker all the time and pull buckets all night... but sometimes not lucky enough and pull only 2 crabs from 11pm to 5am [cool] [rolleyes]
