I need a set of good snow tires for my S4 235/40 18. Suggestions? Also, whats out for suspension for a 2005 S4 sedan?

The best way to go is to use a 17" snow package. However, in 18" use the Bridgestone LM-25.
As for the 05, H7R is making a spring set that drops it 1.2 front, and 1" rear.

Are you going to be in Tahoe all season, or down the mountain and driving up? If the former I would use a dedicated snow tire, If the later, go with all seasons. Snow tires will not hold up well off the mountain.

I live here. I have to use a dedicated snow tire for the winter. Otherwise I cant get out of my driveway. I've had an A4 and just used the stock 17's during the winter with snow tires and switched out for the summer. 17's were easy to find in a snow tire but I'm finding the 18's kind of limited. I want to use the stock 18's on my S4 for winter and plan on getting a set of HRE's for summer.
Do even stock 17's from an A4 fit on a S4?

Even if they do it would look pretty stupid. I can't stand 17's on my A4, I definantly wouldnt put them on my S4
I would put 17's on my S4. Why the hell not. If I could, I'd stick 13" Chrome Daytons on for the hell of it.

For winter tires the more sidewal the better. I would get a cheap set of 16" rims with snow tires for max. traction and safety. And the swap wheel sets as necessary.
Yeah, but the question of the day is. Whats the smallest rim that can fit under there?

17" do work. And will provide the best snow traction. Give me a call when you can.
