sorry it took me a day to get back to you guys, as far as the auto, its his new daily and he commutes in TONS of traffic... also wanted mom to be able to drive it...

front filler is on its way, pics were from when he first brought it home...besides the fact that when you actually look at the car in person, little things like front plates and yellow reflectors really dont bother u so much..

appreciate all the kind words guys, he let me drive it but itll be a little while before he lets me take some cutie out on a date with it...

~Well its DSG so its not that bad. Anyway, Sick car! My dad just bought a 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet in the same color scheme, sick car. I've driven it a couple times with him, I love it. If there were an R8 convertible or Targa with removable roof, he would be all over that. He saw it at the NY auto show and he was like daaaaaaaamn thats a hot car, but he wanted a convertible. Whatever, the porsche is a sick car.

That is the same tranny that is used by lamborghini (E-gear). Alot of parts on that car have four rings and a bull on them. Its also exactly the same as the manual. It just also has a pump, valve assembly, etc. to operate automatically. It is different from the other dsg transmissions.

the trans in the r8 isn't a dsg. Laconvail is right about the same trans as the lambo. the dsg is really like 2 transmissions built into one. it's always in the next gear thats why it shifts so fast. the e-gear trans is just a manual that is shifted hydralically instead of with your right arm.
