Raced a BMW E90 330i Dinan

the other night I did a couple friendly pulls with a E90 330i "Dinan" car and beat him by a couple car lengths every time, 20-100............see signature for my mods, I was pretty suprised and thought it was going to be much closer.............they come stock with 260hp

I was very surprised too, but i do have very good mods, no cats, full exhaust, Revo stage 2 chip........so I def have WAY more TQ than he does and probably have a lil bit more hp......but I thought the drive tran was gonna screw me in the long run........

I hope you not thinking of a 335i which is a completely different car and the DInan parts dont give any real gains for a N/A engine, i have owned 2 BMW's before one of them being a 2004 330i

Dinan's optimal numbers say 270hp, 245ft/lbs at the crank. We know the bimmer isn't much lighter either.

I think your torque advantage more than madeup for any additional drivetrain loss.

Seems reasonable to me. 330's do somewhere in the mid-low 14's with a good driver.

I work for BMW. Dinan stuff is a total waste for hp gains on anything except a 335i. You might get a tenth or two on an NA car with Dinan's bolt-ons.

People have run 13's with your setup.

Hey 2007black2.0T, I noticed you live in NY and I just made a thread about this in the B6 section, I was reading your sig and saw you have a TP, how do you pass emissions? The idea of a TP has been through my head alot but always died when it came to how im gonna get through inspections.

I am in Suffolk county, I didn't have to worry about an Emissions test because I got only a two year lease and the first time you get your NY state exam, you don't need to pass an emissions test because the car is only a year old.

Plus if you wanna pass a state exam go to a shady gas station and through them a 20 to pass you, easy as cake.

I am getting rid of this car after the summer and I think I am getting either a 135, 335 or a G37, so if you want the Test Pipe I would give it to you for dirt cheap......

Plus my car DOES NOT LOOK FAST because its completely stock looking besides the exhaust and I have a full ski rack and fairing setup on top of the car, so people ALWAYS think they are gonna smoke me
