Does anyone sell software to reprogram ecu?

As the subject states, just wondering if anyone sells tuning software for an 01 S4? (I would like to be able to read/write the pcm and edit the file)

I believe GIAC does. It's called "Mobile Tuner."

You could also go with the Autronic standalone, but that's big bucks.

apr also makes some software for tuning the ecu. its called ECU Explorer and its about 150 bucks, you can do virtual guages and data logging as well.

i dont think you can simply reprogram the ecu without adding some extra electronics. from what i understand, motronic has various checksums and codes that check to make sure everything is as stock, this is what makes chip tuning it so hard. this code must be incorporated into new chips. check out this link, i was thinking of trying them when i was going to do some custom stuff on my 2.8, but i have since decided its not worth it (all the engine work). they say they have emulators for motronic, so you may wnat to try and contact them and see what they have to say.
