that's not the factory R8 wheel! Looks very similar (almost identical) but the R8 steering wheel is thinner and does not have such aggressive "thumb area"..... Maybe its the European R8 wheel (assuming that there is a US-spec and a Euro-spec)

You are correct. After some research I found out that it is a
Multi-function steering wheel, with carbon, leather and alcantara inlays.
The steering wheel replaces the steering wheel of your Audi R8 Coupe, all functions are still available.
There can also be an exchange of steering wheels.

where can I pick up this wheel? Are there other options? I've been looking for a steering wheel that is the same style as the R8/TT but thicker, like the RS6, but without paddles...

The thumb inserts on the wheel look like they would work well with the 9 and 3 o'clock hand positions that they teach you at the Audi experience!

We are talking with them (PPI) and they are very interested in distribution in the US. I think we'll have more information to discuss shortly... ;)

those blades factory are 2500 each btw, saw em today
