Just letting yall know, (I'm a native Washingtonian) that I have 3.5 more years in the service... Enlisted, moved to Oklahoma after tech school to work on the AWACS and now that I remembered that Boeing has the TS-3 AWACS aircraft that I could go work at Boeing... Hopefully they will still be there a while when I come back... But no matter what I am comming back home to good ol' Olympia!!

what branch of the military are you in? id considered AF when i was 18.

Yeah, AF is the only way to go!! And when I get there, I have some plans on making the NW region Audi club bigger...

AWACS will always be here. They are doing alot of upgrades and I believe a newer airframe later on is in the forecast too.
Get all you can while you are in! It (The A.F.) was the best 20 yrs of my life.
Active duty isn't the same anymore. Guard or Reserve and still have a civilian job seems a bit better. When I was in you could transfer and keep your time and grade. Took a ton of paperwork though. They called it "Palace Chase" then. Don't know what they call it now. If you are interested in it see your local CBPO or ask your 1st Shirt. Don't know about AWACS in the guard.

Nice pic!! But I am going to do my education and my 3.5 years and get out... There have been a TON of changes with the new General (Gen. Jumper) and I don't really like alot of them...

Yeah, I here yah things have changed an it all happened when the Cold War went bye- bye and they did away with SAC. :0(
The only bozo for a General I really didn't like was McPeak and when he (f)ucked up our Dress Blues. And guess who he is backing up come this election? You guessed it... Kerry "The Waffler" (well yes I did vote for that, but no I did NOT). And some want him to run the country... ahhh, I'm going to Canada cause you think 9/11 was bad, man if he gets in office we are in a world of shit!
