Looking for a honest, trustworthy, reasonably priced mechanic/shop who is "ricer" friendly....for my happybabyhatch..i mean, my honda hatchback..

my old mechanic/shop in San Carlos never called me back after leaving numerous messages for two weeks....

i started feeling like a stalker and decided to give up...

so i'm the market for a new pediatrician, er, car doctor!

Thanks for the help!

I'm not completely sure, but my buddy Dalton at the Shell station in 19th and Lincoln should be "ricer friendly". The guy is trustworthy and does a good job (doesn't know sh*t about audi's though). If he can't help you he can point you in the right direction. The man is VERY WELL CONNECTED with other mechanics. Hope this helps! [:)]

My friend used to take his Acura to the Honda Doctor in San Mateo, I think.

I used to take mine to Foreign Affair in Santa Clara. Big Honda/Acura clientele. One guy has a full-on race CRX.

There's also Michael & Company in San Jose although they're no longer Honda/Acura-specific.

Hey PIAA-
You can also go to Autoplus on MIssion in DC. I've known Phillip for years...and you know he knows his rides...esp. his Spoon Civic. Tell him Angelo sent you...let me know if you decide to go, I'll give him a call and tell him to watch out for you.

They've got great hours too, you can drop off hecka early in the AM 7ish and someone can arrange to meet you there and even coordinate a ride. Plus they're open late and on Saturday even!

HTH...sorry I won't be able to make any MTN bike trips soon. Moving soon...hopefully.

I'm not sure how much "ricer friendly" plays into it for non-warranty repair, but I know a few people that have been very satisfied with Nick's Honda/Acura Service. He's right by you... right off El Camino in Burlingame -- in the woody area heading towards Millbrae where 3 streets meet up at El Cam. It's an old gas station.

None of their cars were modded, but they said he was fair and a good wrench.

What kind of work are you looking to get done Dawn? I know a mechanic that works for the Toyota Dealership in Palo Alto. He's worked on my Audi and he's fairly decent priced.
