anyone have some time on either a saturday or sunday to help me out installing front and rear brake pads and rotors?
i haven't done a brake job myself and would like to have someone who has done it to help me out if i get stuck somewhere in the process.
i'm located in san jose near valley fair.
let me know, thanks!
Sorry I'm not anywhere near SJ, but if you haven't already, check out the Tech section on AW; there are a couple of good brake job DIY writeups you should look up. (assuming that you have an A4)
and for the rear calipers, the special caliper resetting tool is highly recommended.

Hey I need to swap out my front pads too. I seen it done before (rear and front), I'll figure it out again. We can do my car first if you are edgy. [:D][cool]
I'll be free on Saturday. Think i got plans for Sunday.

Um.. I'm down to help. Have to work Sat & Sun, but if you don't mind working in the late afternoon, I can lend a hand.
Just make sure you have ALL THE TOOLS ( C clamp & the rotor key esp.).

will you be bleeding the brakes too or just changing the pads out? job shouldn't take more than an hour (two tops)... let me know if you still need help.

If you already have the parts and willing to pay, VW Lasher in Sacto does it for $150 (they work on Audi's too). I think its a pretty good price considering its dealer. I got a quote from an independent shop for $180.
