what engines would be a direct fit into a 1992 100s income tax is coming up and i want to get some ideas

well you have a 12v V6 in that,you could always supercharge it..But before doing that you might consider selling it and buying a S4/S6 with the work already done including all the stock options which are an upgrade from your car to include quattro,5 or 6 speed tranny,upgraded suspension,brakes and seats( www.audifans.com marketplace is a good place to look for used audi's).....A used AAN engine will run you $1800-2000+ bucks plus labor to remove and replace yours (if you cant do-it-yoself), you'll need to rewire the engine harness swap out ecu's and wont bolt up to your automatic tranny that i think is in your 100s...........or you can build a high reving 12v engine you have there under your hood................all just my $.02

Bing is right, you have the V6, the I-5 is in the 91 . . . my bad.

well you can technically swap in any audi motor...transmissions bolt patterns are the same...as long as you have a stick. go 3.6 v8....pick them up all day long for $500 with all accessories, harness and ecu...then add boost!

dewd, you can put anything in there! no big deal really. I would pic from (and in order of preference) AAN, 3B, V8-4.2, V8-3.6
