I doubt you're going to have any luck finding headlights for a car that hasn't even been released yet. [confused]

yes i am planning on retro fitting them. I just bought the new S6 L.E.D. fog lights that i will be retro fitting when i re-do my widebody.
I am looking for them because i believe the LED bar will look great with the LED bar for fogs.
Any thoughts or if anyone knows, please let me know!
thanks........matt

The B8 just barely hit the European market, so try one of the European OEM part suppliers like OEMpl.us, Vag Parts, or DTH.

The dealer said $715 a piece!

They're so new that I doubt you'll find them much cheaper than that. The car JUST came out!

You're dumping thousands on a widebody and repaint; cough up the extra dough for the headlights or quit complaining.

If what you have to say doesnt help, then don't say it. Go to some other thread!
Thanks for your opinion though. Real nice!
this thread should be in the B6 A4 forum not here!!!

New S5 lights are $1100 to 1500, depending on the version you want... if you can get some used ones off ebay.de for $700-800, that might be a good deal...

Probably new ones from the dealer, since most of the eBay.de parts for very new cars are stolen... :(

Only out of curiosity: How can you proof this statement?
I know 3 - 6 other reasons how new or nearly new headlights enter the market.
I am sorry to tell you this but your statement is rubbish (unless you tell us how you came to this conclusion). Possibly you are working for the german police or ebay.de then this would be ok [:D].
Don't take this personal [up][;)]

I haven't heard anything like that in germany. I mean seriously:
Does a common thief know how to get access to all the mounting tabs? Were are talking about brandnew S5 or TT vehicles here.
Some of you have already swapped headlights and know how much is involved (were are not talking about headlights with all mounting tabs broken)...
just my 2 cents [;)]

While this is not the point of the thread.
Used one could be results of accidents. Side or rear hits, car is totaled. Parts show up on ebay.
Or the whole car is stolen and chopped up.

I don't have to prove it. That is not the point of my comment. I only say that the buyer should be careful.
We buy from dismantling companies in Germany all the time that are taking apart cars or reselling parts rejected by Audi and VW, so I know that there are lights available.
I also know that cars are stolen and driven into Eastern European countries every day, where they are stripped and all of the parts are sold. Navigation, lights, engine, brakes and body parts. There are not enough rejected or damaged cars to support all of the RNS-E and MFD2 systems for sale each day. Being from Germany, I think you know this happens too...
BTW - If I were with the Polizei, I don't think this would be the place to fight crime. [:D]

And in our Town 'they' have removed overnight 42 airbags from brand new cars at the Audi/VW dealer. Further no damage to the cars.
No car alarm did go off so therefore 'they' must be professionals. [mad]

What you say is very true, and it does happen.
"Chop shop" entities exist all over the world.
However, generally speaking, the cars taken are much more likely to be very common car models. Higher end vehicles don't typically require "chop shop" or "bargain" discount places to find the parts they need.
The highest end cars are taken whole and sold whole. You don't steel a Enzo to part it out. Who would you part it to? They can trace the parts.
I'm not suggesting that an A5/S5 is an Enzo. But, it's also not a dime a dozen type car where everyone is in need of low cost parts no matter where they come from.
That said, it doesn't mean there aren't some "shops" trying different market tactics to make a buck.
