Don't they have electronic/magnectic dampining and ride height? I would think a lowering module would be your answer then..

IMHO the R8 should not be lowered since it already has difficulty in some driveways and some large speed bumps, not to mention it will look ricey. The R8 is a purpose built vehicle and lowering defeats the suspension technology built in.

You definitely need to lower that thing. It looks like a bus.

The US cars all have the magnetic suspension, so spring sets are a little dicey. I think it's in the works, but probably not for a while... :(

Although the R8 is very low from the factory, it still has some wheel gap that could use a little lowering. Sure the ride will be harsher, but it will handle better and look great. H&R makes nice products that are designed to maintain the integrity of the stock components while serving their purpose. You can buy H&R springs for RS cars that have DRC and the suspenison is still operable.
The H&R springs are part# 29058-1 and lower the vehicle .6 in the front and 1.25 in the rear. They should be stateside soon.
I do understand where Offroad911 is coming from because the car definatley gets the job done stock and has an amazing setup!, but adding this particular H&R kit doesn't seem like an unreasonable mod. -T
