Hello:I've been reading this forum for the past month leading up to & after my purchase of a 2005 S4 Tiptronic. Thank you for the body of knowlege the active members have established! It is increadibly helpful! After a failed search, I have question about mounting a euro plate on my car. I had planned to not use any front plate, unfortunately, after removing my front plate holder I was faced with three quater size holes on the euro plate trim cover. So I want to mount a euro plate because imho it looks better; than the other two options. However, does the euro trim plate just pop off? If so, how do I do it properly? It appears to; thus, allowing it to be flush mount.Thank you for your time & help!

You might be able to find another front filler plate for only a few bucks more than you would be spending on a euro plate. Check ebay, I have seen several of them for sale in the past few weeks. Just something to consider.

I would pass on the Euro plate and get a new filler. The Europlate is like a magnet saying "pull me over".

Thank you both for your responce.

Greg: your point about giving the police an excuse (PC) to stop you is true...just like side tinted windows.

However, as a trauma nurse, with my RN license & trauma service ID card right next to my CDL, the police, for some reason tend to cut me some slack.

Nevertheless, if you, or anyone else, have a brilliant black trim plate you want to sell please email me.

I installed mine & no problems so far either.

If from the police's persective you are In the wrong place or doing something they don't like... I'm sure they would use it for PC to pull you over?

I love the look. I have got a lot of positive feeback, too.
