When they hell is Audi gonna release a 200mph diesel powered supercar??
All I hear is talk talk talk and no results. The R10 has dominated for long enough, let the public have one!!

Yup, it's all just rumors right now. No official word from Audi AG. Soon though, hopefully...

I am thinking it'll be more likely in the R4 (small R8 based on the next Cayman/Boxster)...

Wouldn't that pretty much cannibalize TT sales? I also don't understand the new A3 Cabrio...Audi's new two-door soft top...again, it's pretty much the same thing as a TT Roadster.

The R4 will be above the TT (think $60K range). It's smart to diversify across the entire income range, even with some overlap. I think BMW is overlapping too much between the 1- and 3-series, though (price-wise).

A loaded TT 3.2 quattro is up near that range! And we also now have the A5/S5 Coupes, so an "R4" just doesn't seem likely.

I wrote a good reply, but it didn't post...
Anyway, the R4 has been reported by a lot of sources in the auto press. Considering Porsche's dominant role in VAG these days, platform sharing wouldn't be a big reach.

I'm hoping they'll put the V12TDI in the R8 in it's final production year. Since the V10TT was having heat issues, I think this would be a suitable replacement. It only makes sense to put something like that in a car built in respect to the R8/R10 race cars. Time will tell!
