View Full Version : those of you with camelbaks...
not sure if anyone else but dbtong would care about this. but look at what i found at IKEA! the camelbak ice trays are mad $$$$, $10 is the cheapest i've seen them and that's on ebay. the newer style reservoirs have a larger mouth so you can throw pretty much any ice cubes down there but feels wierd against your back. do yourself a favor and pick a couple of these up. they're no more then $2 i believe.

I use my camelback mostly for skiing. My problem is keeping the bleeping thing from freezing.

I think you can buy those tube insulation things to prevent the tubes from freezing. I also need to replace my blue hose as my existing one is starting to leak. I've heard that TAP plastics has a cheap replacement for < $5.

I just use ice cubes from my freezer on hot days... I don't usually feel them on my back at all. For snowboarding, I put in warm/hot water and wear it inside my jacket on cold days to keep the thing from freezing.
That tray thing is a pretty cool idea though. Just stick some Otterpops in there [;)]

Oh man, I'm going to sell ice dildo's on the corner by my house for $0.50 each. And on Wednesday, "hump day", I'll have a special, 2 for $1.09.

All you need to do is blow the tube free of water after you drink it.
No water in the tube = no freezing.

I just fill my CamelBak 1/3 to 1/2 way up the night before and lay it flat in the freezer. I then top it off with water in the morning.
Good idea though.
