removing front S4 emblem

I just got the 2001.5 emblems and I am trying to get my old one off the grill. I am trying to do this without trashing the old one in case I ever want to go back. It looks like it clicks in, but then there are 2 clips that may or may not be holding it in as well. The two clips are not part of the emblem.

I can probably rip the thing off, but I thought I would try to do it the educated way first

iirc there are two strong clips that you have to pry off from the back of the grill. these two clips are strong enough that when you pry off the last one, the emblem will shoot off about 2 feet
