Is Juan at TintsRus still the best option for tints in the bay area? Or is there a better shop to go with?

I (and a few others I know of in the area) use Extreme Auto Tint in Santa Clara. I'd compare prices at both places.

Where are they located? Do they have a website?

I go to Silicon Valley Auto Glass in San Jose. Art is the owner of the shop. They replace our brittle Audi windshields and bake on tint which means you can roll down your windows immediately upon completion of the job. They also cut the tint to the edge of the windows that roll down. Brought all of my cars there! Tell 'em Patrick sent yah (with the silver Audi)!

What kind of pricing should I expect?

I used to go to California Tint & Polish in Campbell, they also remove the windows and bake on the tint, supposedly. I was recommended to Silicon Valley Tint as well, heard good things about them.

The bake-on shops are usually about $400-500 for a full job, while the standard sun/air-dry will generally run you about $250-300.

Ask for Sid (owner) or Tom.

Sid used to own a B5 S4. Pictures are on the website. They are authorized installers for Huper Optik, V-Kool, and Suntek.

Sid has done numerous Audis, including my A6 4.2. They've also installed on Lamborghinis, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW. Check out the website for pics of the work they've done.

If you find one, let us in on it! That's the trouble when you live out in "the boonies" like us Sac people do.
