Yeah yeah my second post in a row. If anyone is interested in getting an offical brochure of the R8 all you have to do is drop Audi an email and they will send one. You might have to sweet talk them, as it took me two emails to receive one, not sure if they just weren't in print at the time of the first email, or if they were just being stingy. It's nothing special, specially if you have picked up a Corvette brochure lately, but its always fun to get your hands on actual pictures and options.

Use the drop down box and select brochure, then enter in some kind words in the box and cross your fingers ha ha.

I gave it a shot. Is it okay if I told them I was your rich Uncle so they would send the brochure?

Lol might have helped. I understand that its getting more and more expensive to print and send out items to people, but Honda, Toyota, even GM are all sending out brochures, they even have links on their websites specifically for it. The "higher end" companies such as MB, BMW, Audi, are all trying to get you to do the whole pdf file thing. I want to hold the pictures in my hand, look at the colors, options ect. I'am disapointed in the R8 brochure though, its pretty plain considering the rarity of the car and the price, as mentioned above, Corvette brochures will impress nearly anyone, they come in a fancy envelope, with a color wheel and what amounts to a full color catalog.

I am like you about liking to hold and touch an actual brochure. I love to narrow my choices down and study the brochures. My father in law just bought the Saturn Sky Redline. The Saturn dealers are selling out of them pretty fast and are running out of brochures. He got the 2008 model and Saturn currently only has this cheesy newspaper looking brochure. I think it is a way to cut costs down from the big thick brochure they were running out of the first year.

They're 6 bucks a pop, that's why they don't want to just send one out to somebody who's just dreaming... Your local Audi dealer should have them in stock.

Our dealer doesn't have them laying around and tends to say they are out of them.[:(]

They can do it both ways from the Audi site.

Ha ha ha ha ha 6 bucks! Are you kidding me? Theres nothing different about the R8 brochure compared to the rest of the line up, cept its long and skinny lol. As for the just dreaming part, I look at it like this. If they send out information on their cars, people are going to read them, talk about them, share them with friends, thats some good publicity right there, even if someone doesn't buy one. By the way, I went to the VW site, ordered a new GTI brochure and what came in the mail you ask?.. how about a freakin DVD of the GTI with a brochure on it inside the dvd box! Now thats class.

That is pretty cool that they sent you a DVD. What color do you think the R8 looks the best in ? I think the bluish gray I have seen in the photos with the contrasting sides looks like a winner. Before I bought my Q7 I looked at the new X-5 as well. It ended up being too small for two kids and a 90 pound golden retriever. They send me new brochures almost monthly still. I bought our Q7 back in Jan. I agree with waht you say about getting brochures you tend to be an advocate of the brand. I know that i have gotten at least three neighbors to consider Audis for their next cars and they would have never looked at them before.

I like the Jet Blue with the Carbon blades. I'm always a sucker for shocker colors, like orange, yellow, bright green, but Audi doesn't offer that. I'm guessing they soon will though, Dodge learned its lesson with the Viper and for 2008 are offering some outrageous color choices..but they cost 6 grand for the paint jobs!

That is a great color combo!
