Hey guys, I recently picked up an Audi 80 Quattro 5spd off some mofo for dirt cheap as a beater. But after purchasing the car I've noticed that it's a great car!

It came with a roof rack, OEM 14" BBS wheels, and lame fog lights.

Don't get me wrong, the car has issues. Burns lots of oil, odometer stopped at 152k (car probily has 200k on it,) dosnt read temp (pretty much needs a new gauge cluster) and it need's rear control arm bushings.

Things I would like to do to this bad boy would be an exhaust, Lowering springs and new struts, and make it stop burning so much oil.

Like the car leaves blue clouds of smoke behind it at stop lights like an old Crown vic.... It's pretty bad. Sometimes the clouds are white So it might be a head gasket. I dont know. Maybe I could pick up a head for cheap rebuilt it and throw it in with a new HG and hope is solves my problem. Would that be worth the trouble?

Anyone want to direct me to some good performance sites for a Classic Audi like mine?

Heres some pics.

Those BBS rims are sweet! And you've got the rear spoiler. Now go check the dipstick to see if your oil milky or not. And if it is, get it fixed asap.

I changed the oil as soon as I got it. It was pure black. And I check the oil level like every other day and keep adding quarts cause it's really burning it up! Havn't seen milky oil yet.

Coolants pure green, and It's not pushing coolant either. I'm gonna go a compression test, leak down test and try that Engine Restore shit.

probably rings, the black classic audis look nice with clear corners... and yeah i would say take the fogs back to white. just look around for a 20V would be my advice, they are pretty bulletproof. and not too horribly difficult to find

Well the car puffs clouds of white smoke, Still has over heating problems after I replaced the popped radiator and blows blue smoke.

I just ordered a new timing belt, head gasket and valve seals.

I think it's over heating due to the HG and burning oil via valve seals. But I bet the rings arnt in the best shape either.... lol. I'll inspect them while the head is off.

Oh I changed my plans with modding it. I'm just gonna rally-x it in the spring if it survives the winter:D
