Lotus Elise and the new A6. Before I get flamed for no pics, hold on a sec, I didnt know they would be at the dealer and so I didnt have my camera. The dealer near me took delivery of its first Elise today, and let me tell you it is awesome. I sat in the car, and it really is minimalistic, the interior quality isnt that great, but who really cares!!!! It has this tiny sterring wheel and just sitting in the car felt like I was tossing it back and forth on the twisties, this is the first time any car has done that to me. Clutch pedal travel is pretty short, shift throws are longer than my V&S shortshifter, but overall the car is amazing. It is somewhat difficult to get in and out of (the door sills are huge) so you sit fairly close to the centerline of the car. The body of the car looks great, and it sounds alot more agressive then I thought a Celica engine could sound, kind of a raspy rumble if that makes any sense. Unforturnately, no test drive for me any time soon, you have to proov you have the financial ability to buy it before they let you take it out.
As for the A6, wow. It is not getting added to the inventory yet, apparently Audi is parading them to all of its dealers. The car looks much better in person then the photos. I didnt like the grill in pictures, but in real life it looks great. Overall, the outside of the car looks great, it has the aggressivity that most audis seem to lack. I cant comment on the inside because it wasnt at the dealer long because all of the salesman were playing with it. But in general, I was very impressed with it.
